Lake Superior Region Indivisible is holding a “Stop the Cuts” Rally in Marquette on Saturday, April 19th. This event is being held in partnership with 50501 Michigan, Yoopers Unite, and Marquette Citizens for Peace and Justice. At 11:30 AM, participants will gather along the sidewalks on Washington Street, in front of the Post Office. At 12:30, they will gather at the Marquette Commons to listen to motivational speakers and live music. Rally participants and speakers will share their stories of how current and proposed cuts by the Trump administration have impacted the community.

With Congress in recess, Rep. Jack Bergman is invited to attend and speak with his constituents. Marquette’s rally will be one of many events planned nationwide.

Blue Water Indivisible has decided our April 19th 50501 Day of Action will include a food drive to benefit the Sturges Memorial Congregational Church Food Pantry.
